She's R.E.A.D.Y.
She's R.E.A.D.Y. is an HIV prevention initiative focused on normalizing HIV testing among Black women ages 25 to 50 living in West-Central Alabama. She's R.E.A.D.Y. is a project made possible with the support of the Alabama Department of Public Health's Ending the HIV (Transmission) Epidemic Prevention and Care Division.
She's R.E.A.D.Y. speaks to the urgency with which Black women must become RESPONSIBLE for their own sexual wellness and care about the wellness of those within their friend groups, ENGAGED in the journey to establish and protect their overall wellness, AWARE and able to successfully access HIV prevention services (or HIV care if diagnosed with the virus), DETERMINED to live their best lives, and willing to leave the poor choices of YESTERDAY behind by viewing them as lessons learned instead of reasons to be ashamed. Working in small groups and providing Wellness Navigators, we will build a network of informed and engaged women committed to their health and wellness.
